What an amazing year for Higher!!! At the beginning of the year, we set out to have 6 Higher events with the aim to reach young people in schools and in communities across Cape Town. In October we finished our Higher events with a bang, working closely with one of our partner churches in Pelikan Park.
As a team we are committed to working with churches to deliver Higher, giving young people a chance to hear the gospel with the opportunity to choose to respond to the hope of Jesus Christ.
Our first Higher of 2022 was in a community called Mitchells Plain, one of the biggest residential areas in Cape Town. For many years, we have worked with local churches to build connections with people in the area. It was a great honour to see many young people gather to hear the gospel some for the first time. Our connection with our partner church meant that many of these young people were able to continue their journey with God.
Alongside our Higher outreaches, we had the privilege of continuing our BLOOM events, a space where we gather 50-60 young women to invest, develop and disciple in their God-given purpose.
We had some great feedback from young women who attended:

We thank God that this year we were able to be in front of nearly 5000 young people in schools, live events, youth clubs, and on the streets in some of the toughest neighbourhoods. This year we were also able to take the Higher Tour to Citrusdal. Through all our Higher events, over 350 hundred young people chose to start a new journey with Christ.
A big thank you to all our partner churches and organisations who worked so hard to make these events a success.
One of the exciting new developments next year is our Grab A Towel youth series. We hope to create more resources for church youth groups, to help young people go deeper in their understanding of a healthy relationship with God and their life purpose.
