This past school holiday, our Nyanga Community Hub hosted a holiday club for the young people in our community—and it was a beautiful, joy-filled time of connection, learning, and faith.
Around 80 children and youth joined us each day for a mix of fun activities, meaningful conversations, and moments that reminded us why we do this work.
From the start, the energy was high. The SMASH Team and our Nyanga Hub leaders led the way with games, sports, Bible stories, and worship. But it wasn’t just about keeping kids busy—it was about creating space for them to encounter God, ask big questions, and feel seen and loved.
One of the most powerful moments came when everyone—leaders and youth—gathered in one room for worship. There was singing, dancing, and a real sense of joy. It wasn’t planned or polished, but it was real. You could feel the presence of God in the room. For many of the young people, it was a moment of returning to faith, of choosing hope again.
Throughout the week, our team hosted conversations around purpose, identity, and faith that flowed naturally. A highlight was when the Genetik Sessions team joined us to host a Created to Create Day Camp as part of the week’s activities. The young people learned to sing, write poetry, and dance—expressing themselves in ways that were both creative and deeply personal. Some shared their stories. Others asked for prayer. Many left with a renewed sense of who they are and who God is.
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this happen—our volunteers, donors, prayer supporters, and the wider community. You’re part of this story.
A special thank you to one of our biggest Nyanga Community Hub supporters, who generously donated all the food and snacks for the week!
This wasn’t just a holiday club. It was a glimpse of revival and unity. And we’re excited for what’s next.
