What’s happening in Jozi East?

As we reflect on a year filled with exciting activities in our Jozi East hub, it’s amazing to see how much impact much we have been privileged to be apart of. Here is a brief look into some of the most recent activites:

We hosted an event called “Youth Advance get-together”, bringing together different youth groups for a day of fellowship and inspiration. It was amazing to see so many young people excited about being apart of Gods work and sharing his love with one another and others.

Along side the Church the youth participated in a Heritage Day celebration which also showed the great appreciation we have in our community for cultural diversity but the oneness we have in Jesus.  This was a great expression of the fact that , though culturally we are different in Jesus we can come together as 1 with 1 heart, 1 mind as 1 family with no barriers.

The Message Trust is committed to raising up urban heroes, young men and woman on fire for Jesus and who want to change the world with His love. Brandon our Hub coordinator participated in the Future Shapers weekend which was just THAT! It was filled with equipping, encouraging and inspiring young leaders from various communities for working in ministry.

The opening of our homework lab has been another highlight for our Jozi East hub. This has created a safe space for young people to come and study and have access to wifi to complete homework and prepare for their final exams for the year.

The group of young people we work with has grown so rapidly in both number and relationship with God and each other this year, however, the year is not over yet and we wait in eager expectation for what may still do.
