Every Wednesday afternoon, something special happens at our Parkwood Hub. At 15:00 sharp, a team of passionate young leaders from YIT (Youth in Transformation) arrives, ready to pour into the lives of our children through fun, learning, and love.
Led by Jason, alongside his dedicated teammates Ethan and Gracia, YIT runs a weekly program focused on numeracy and literacy—but they do it in a way that’s anything but ordinary. Their sessions are packed with games, creativity, and joy, making learning accessible and exciting for our kids.
Recently, Ethan led a lesson on the different planets, and the children were completely engaged. It was incredible to see them light up with curiosity and excitement as they explored the solar system through interactive activities. These moments are more than just educational—they’re transformational.
But YIT doesn’t stop there. At the end of each session, they share a Bible story, offering encouragement and spiritual nourishment. And as a sweet touch of kindness, they always bring a treat—a piece of fruit and a packet of chips—which our kids look forward to every week.
What makes YIT so special is not just what they teach, but how they love. Their consistency, care, and creativity have made a lasting impact on our children, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.
