Hello 2022; another year, another opportunity for great expectation. This past week our team has planned, prayed, and prepared, and we are feeling so ready for the new year! One of the things we look forward to every year is starting it with a new theme that would carry us through all the year has to offer.
Below is a message from our CEO; here he shares our word for 2022.
Words from Tim Tucker; Message Trust SA CEO
As The Message South Africa, we have a great sense of anticipation for the year ahead. There is definitely a sense of greater normality and that we can make our plans with an assurance of less disruption. I continue to be very proud of our team, who has shown such resilience over the past couple of years and is now chomping at the bit to impact young people through our various programmes and initiatives this year.
We opened the year with our prayer day, and I shared the theme that I believe God has given us for 2022. Our theme is “IMAGINE,” and the key verse is 2 Corinthians 9:8: And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
I encouraged the team to allow God to fuel their imagination for what He wants to do in Cape Town (and beyond) this year. We serve in a city with almost limitless opportunities to impact youth at risk – perhaps the only thing limiting us is that we sometimes struggle to imagine a brighter future for young people. However, Rick Warren said, “Dream great dreams for God, and teach others to dream great dreams for God… We must also let God develop our imagination. Because we must outthink and out-dream and outsmart the world for the glory of God.”
So, we are dreaming big dreams for 2022 and beyond; believing that we will see many lives transformed by the Gospel through our ministry. We really appreciate your prayerful support and request that you consider how you can continue to support and partner with us in 2022. We will seek to share stories of transformation with you through our online platforms and in-person events.
