Description
‘Facing The Future We Didn’t Choose’, is an adaptation of Dr. Tim Tuckers ‘Grief and Grace: facing the future I didn’t choose’ to specifically address the COVID-19 endemic. In Grief and Grace, Tim shares a six-month account of his journey through grief following the loss of his first wife. Laura died from a brain aneurysm whilst on a family holiday in 2016. In the space of 24 hours, his whole world was turned upside down.
In ‘Facing The Future We Didn’t Choose’, Tim contextualises the content from his previous book to make it applicable to the current Covid-19 pandemic being experienced by the whole world. Many don’t realise that the emotions they are currently experiencing are grief, and as Tim tackled a significant period of grief in his own life, he hopes to try help as many people as possible overcome their own grief.

I finished reading this ebook today. I loved reading it because it speaks truth relating to losses and grieving. I love the term new abnormal. How grief is a process and it’s important to have trustworthy friends around you who you can be yourself with. To show the impact of the book as I was reading it I have been using your thoughts on losses, grieving and pain and joy with family and friends. In particular in my chat with a good friend of mine. His Dad has terminal cancer. My friend finds it hard to share his emotions and open up. Last night he shared how he was feeling with me. As a result of reading your book I felt I was able to support more effectively.
Also how you shared about your children being on their own paths of grieving. He is going to have a chat with his son about what is happening with his Grandad. I sent him a link to your ebook and encouraged him to read it, which he said he is going to.
Thanks Tim , your book has given me a valuable insight into a world that I haven’t fully encountered in the way you did , but I can apply to a different type of crisis which we are in now with covid-19

This book has been a blessing in my season. It has helped and challenged me in soo many areas. I would encourage anyone who has been facing a loss through this COVID-19 to take time out and read this book. Not only has this book been challenging me but it’s confirmed soo many things! It’s truly helpful knowing I don’t need to rush through anything in this season but take small steps through it.
