We’re filled with gratitude as we reflect on all that God has done through the Higher initiative so far this year—and we’re thrilled to share some exciting updates with you.
Since January 2024, our team has been on the move, bringing the message of hope to young people across Cape Town. From the communities of Kraaifontein, Parkwood, and Kewtown, to the powerful moment inside Drakenstein Prison, we’ve seen lives touched and transformed by the Gospel. In every space—schools, streets, youth clubs, and Friday night gatherings—young people have encountered the love of Jesus in real and personal ways.
One of the most moving highlights was our time in Drakenstein Prison, where incarcerated young men were given the opportunity to hear the Gospel and respond with hope. These moments remind us why we do what we do.
None of this would be possible without you—our faithful partners. Your prayers, support, and willingness to serve your communities alongside us have made all the difference. Thank you for walking this journey with us.
Looking Ahead: The Higher Tour Continues
We’re excited to announce the next leg of the Higher Tour—this time in partnership with Church of The Holy Spirit in Kirstenhof! This upcoming tour promises to be another powerful opportunity to reach young people with the Gospel, and we can’t wait to see what God will do in this community.
As we continue to grow Higher into more schools and neighbourhoods, we’d love to connect with you—whether in person or over the phone—to explore how we can bring Higher to your area. Your local insight and passion are key to reaching the next generation.
Introducing the Higher Live Resource Pack
We’re also thrilled to share a new tool designed to support churches and youth leaders: the Higher Live Resource Pack. This pack includes:
- Short, gospel-centred video messages
- Live music performances
- Guided discussion content
It’s a simple yet powerful way to run engaging youth nights that help young people grow deeper in their faith. After a successful pilot with three youth groups, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive—and now, we’re inviting more churches to get involved.
Your feedback will help shape how we continue to disciple young people across South Africa through this resource.

We’d also love to extend an open invite to any youth groups who might want to join us for our Friday night gig on 15 August 2025. It’s going to be a vibrant evening of music, connection, and gospel-centred moments.
