As someone who has the privilege of leading a missional organisation, I find great joy in seeing — and sharing — just how active and engaged our teams have been on the ground. Even as I write this, our Creative Missions team is out in the community, connecting with young people, serving faithfully, and preparing the way for our first Higher Tour of the year. It’s moments like these that remind me that the mission is always moving, always reaching, always growing.
This has been our busiest start to a year yet, and I couldn’t be more proud of our teams. From Holiday Clubs and school programmes to Job Readiness, Barista Training, and Youth Leaders Training, we’ve had the privilege of serving in so many different spaces. What stands out to me most is not just the activity, but the heart behind it — the passion, dedication, and consistency our teams bring each day. It is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of so many young people.
When I reflect on what we’ve seen so far, I’m deeply encouraged. Our Prisons and Enterprise team has already delivered two Job Readiness programmes alongside two Barista Training courses, equipping individuals with practical skills and renewed hope. Our Creative Missions teams have connected with schools, churches, and communities, reaching thousands of young people across the city with a message of hope and purpose. And our Community Transformation teams continue to faithfully serve over 100 young people every week through education, sport, and discipleship — walking alongside them in tangible and life-giving ways.
If this is what God has done in just the first half of the year, I can only imagine what He has in store for the months ahead. Below are some snapshots of some of my favourite moments.
Watch this space — there is so much more to come.
