Our night with AOG Kraaifontein’s iyouth was something special. As KineticIV, we had the opportunity to lead a Youth Takeover, and from the moment we arrived, you could feel the energy. There were around 110 young people in the room, representing 6 different youth groups — many of whom we’d never connected with before.
For me, what stood out was the sense of expectancy. We weren’t just performing or showing up — we were stepping into a space where God was already moving.
After we led and spent time connecting with the young people, Taryn shared the Gospel so clearly and powerfully. You could see it landing — there was a real stillness in the room, like people were leaning in.
We then split into two sides for prayer — one for anyone needing general prayer, and the other for those wanting to give their lives to Jesus. I watched as young people stepped forward, some hesitantly, some boldly… and by the end, 20 young people had made that decision.
It was such a reminder of why we do what we do.
We got to pray with them, stand with them, and trust that this is just the beginning of their journey — that they’ll be discipled and rooted in community. It also reminded me how important these partnerships are. We weren’t doing this alone — we were stepping into something bigger across different youth groups in partnership with the Local Church in our City.
Please keep praying for these young people, and for us as KineticIV — that we would continue to go into these spaces, share our music, and most importantly, share Jesus with authenticity and boldness.
